Heart to Heart brings Dementia Live education across the state of Montana, at no cost to the attendees, to help teach members of the community what it is like to live with dementia and how to recognize and care for individuals with ADRD. In the Dementia Live simulation, the individual puts on sensory diminishing gloves and glasses, as well as headphones that provide auditory input and are asked to complete a series of tasks. This provides some insight into how difficult living with dementia can be, and encourages a stronger sense of empathy from caregivers.
